We are seeking a Senior Account Executive in our Business Development department. This role supports our mission in all areas of acquisition and development, exemplifying integrity, and using a consultative sales approach as they represent Northeast. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to do good and do good business.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales professional, experienced at Business to Business (B2B) lead generation, prospecting, social selling, reporting, relationship development. The role will report directly to our VP Business Development and will provide tracking, reporting, and business insights on their assigned territory.

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Work Environment: Hybrid: - must have the ability to come onsite when needed to fulfill job requirements

Travel: Additional travel required. Successful candidate must be able to work independently and travel within the New England area. A valid US driver's license is required.

Role: Senior Account Executive


The Sr. Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new partnerships with businesses and organizations and developing those relationships to deliver exceptional value through our financial benefits solutions. In support of our partner, mission, culture and goals, this role will insure we are delivering mutually beneficial results. Working in collaboration with VP Business Development the Sr. Account Executive will work to execute on strategy, contribute business insights, and drive growth in the region. The Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for supporting B2B presentations, as well as effectively communicating our financial benefits directly to employees or members of our partner groups.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Work involves extensive communication including, but not limited to, verbal, written and electronic, interaction, and collaboration with people on a daily basis in order to provide exemplary service.

50% Acquires and cultivates new relationships with employers and associations that align with Northeast’s mission and strategic growth goals within assigned territory. The Business Development Executive exemplifies Northeast’s overall brand and promotes our workforce benefit program with business partners and their employees, as assigned.

15% Relationship Management - Manages employer or organizational group relationships in their territory through regular partnership meetings and executing ongoing communication strategies.

15% Provide introductory and educational workshops, virtually and in person, as needed.

15% Engages in networking and active involvement in community organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, non-profit boards, and professional associations. Provides business insights and contributes to strategic discussions with VP Business Development and internal partners, as needed. Cultivates collaborative, cross-functional, relationships with internal partners, including Branches, Lending, Mortgage, and Wealth Management.

5% Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in a business-to-business (B2B) development function
  • 1-2 years experience working in financial services
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and cultivating business partnerships that result in achieving and exceeding strategic growth goals
  • Strong relationship management, tactical business development and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
  • Ability to influence others
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Salesforce, and PowerPoint


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or a combination of education and business/commercial credit union or banking experience
